Challenge and Solution
The online book market in Ukraine is very dynamic and competitive. Customers prize usability and checkout comfort, favoring companies with the most innovative and intuitive solutions. Considering the current market environment, the client asked our team to update their design and align it with the latest UI/UX industry standards.
Our team conducted a comprehensive UI/UX audit for Book Ye. Subsequently, we offered a complete redesign of the site, updating its design kit and logo. Strategically, we based the Heuristic Evaluation on research from the Baymard Institute.
We completed the redesign project and transferred the new design kit to the customer.

Solution 1. Improving Search and Filter Capabilities
Our experts analyzed user behavior and identified a significant area for improvement in the site’s search tools. We recommended integrating a modern multisearch widget to display search suggestions, showing applied filtering options within the search interface, and enhancing the visibility of the search bar in the site header. These changes were designed to speed up the search process by making it more accessible and intuitive.

Solution 2. Prioritizing Key Information on Book Pages
The Keenethics team identified data types prioritized by customers during the UI/UX audit and then offered to redesign the book pages to highlight this information. Now, the clients can immediately see book covers, their titles, and prices without scrolling on PCs and smartphones.

Solution 3. Optimizing the User Journey
In its previous iteration, the Book Ye site had a very complex system of categories. Our UI/UX audit revealed that the navigation by categories was confusing for customers, so we recommended that the Book Ye team utilize filters for book types instead. Additionally, we delivered a redesign of the shopping cart, offering intuitive tracking for chosen products.
